Detachable Gooseneck Trailers Information

Kaufman Trailers manufactures a full line of detachable gooseneck trailers for sale in three different unique styles. “Detachable Gooseneck Trailers” are a form of double drop lowboy trailer that are designed to haul all types of heavy equipment. Ease and safety of loading are the primary features.  Loading over the rear of a trailer increases in danger as the equipment gets heavier, taller and wider.  The higher weights and higher center of gravity on today’s supersized construction, agricultural, and forestry equipment demand that both the loading height and transport height be significantly lower than our drop deck flatbed trailers. Our detachable gooseneck trailers lineup is offered with capacities from 35 to 55 tons in both tandem and tri-axle configurations. We offer both spring and air ride suspensions as well as many other customizable options.

Full product line descriptions are included below video.

Lowboy Trailers: Our detachable gooseneck trailers are often referred to as “lowboy trailers”. These models are offered with capacities ranging from 35 to 55 tons.  Well lengths are available in 24’, 26’, 28’ and 30’ lengths on the tandem models and 24’ and 26’ lengths on the tri axle models. Spring ride suspension is offered on 35 and 50 ton models. Ridewell brand air ride suspensions are offered on 35, 50, and 55 ton models. For states that are difficult to get your axle weights legal, flip axles are available in both tandem and tri axle models.

Ag Trailers: Our Ag trailers are offered in both flat deck and drop rail configurations with capacities from 35 to 50 tons.  The primary feature of the Ag trailer is the 27” heavy duty aluminum slide out outrigger. This is designed for hauling over width Ag equipment. These trailers are also very flexible for hauling all types of equipment.  Standard available options include flat load bearing fenders over the tires and a flat oak deck over the axles for hauling Ag implements.

Paver Special Trailers: Our Paver special trailers are designed with your paving equipment in mind.  Available capacities include 35, 50, and 55 tons.  Included in the list of features on this trailer are beams tapered at the front for low ground clearance equipment, 16 degree slope to access the rear deck, full width solid oak deck in the well and flat load bearing steel/wood deck over the axles.
