Kaufman Trailers 53000 GVWR Air Brake Pintle Flatbed Trailer is a heavy duty version of our 2 axle air pintle trailer. Frame size upgrades to a 16 in. I-beam mainframe at 26 lb./ft. high tensile main beams.
We cold form the tongue in a hydraulic press. Crossmembers are a combination of 4 in. and 6 in. channel with pierced crossmember construction. The airbrake axles upgrade from 22.5k to 25k capacity each and ride on a Hutchens suspension. In addition to the bigger frame, there are 2 main advantages that this trailer has over the standard model. That is bigger brakes and bigger tires. Brakes go from 12 in. to 16 in. These brakes offer superior braking power and last much longer. Tires go from 17.5 in. to 22.5 in. The taller height means they do not rotate as many times per mile. This means they run cooler and last much longer. The only disadvantage of this model is that deck height is 4.5 in. taller at 39 in. loaded height instead of 34.5 in. A Haldex ABS braking system with spring brakes on both axles, oak flooring, Sealco modular wiring harness, and a tool tray with a lockable lid make this tandem axle flatbed trailer a fully equipped value.
Our popular optional 8 ft. hydraulic ramps make this 53000 GVWR Heavy Equipment Flatbed Trailer ideal for paving equipment. The 8 ft. hydraulic ramps can be ordered with optional lengths of 24 ft. flat and 6 ft. dovetail – 30 ft. length or 30 ft. flat and 6 ft. dovetail – 36 ft. length.
